Following the announcement by the First Minister on Tuesday, it would now be permitted for us to resume the Gigs at Montrose Folk Club.
Before we take any decision on a re-start date, we would like to ask anyone, who has attended the Club in the past, for their views, in an attempt to gauge what the appetite of the audience would be for going out to gigs once more.
We do have three provisional dates, re-scheduled from last year. These are:- My Darling Clementine on Thursday, 21st October 2021, London Bluesman, Dave Peabody, on 4th November 2021 and Blue Rose Code, aka Ross Wilson, on 2nd December 2021.
Bearing in mind the time, needed to arrange and publicise a re-start Concert, we think that there are three possible options, as follows:-
A. We re-start fortnightly from the My Darling Clementine date on 21st October.
B. The Blue Rose Code gig on 2nd December goes ahead as a one off, with further gigs then scheduled from the end of January/ early February 2022 onwards.
C. The Gigs at the Club do not re-start until late February/early March 2022.
It would be great, if you could take a moment to email kenneth@fivefurlongs.plus.com to indicate when, as things stand at the moment, you think that you would consider, once more, attending Gigs at the Club; whether it would be Date A, B or C, or some other date.
Please also let us know, if there are any things, which would make it more or less likely that you would attend a Gig at the Club in the near or medium term.
