Omicron willing, we intend to re-start the Montrose Folk Club programme of Gigs, beginning with a Special Concert by the iconic Blue Rose Code, on Tuesday, 8th March 2022.
All our Gigs will take place in Cinema 3 of Montrose Playhouse. The Facilities and Acoustics of the new Playhouse cinemas are excellent, so Cinema 3 should prove to be a great Venue for Music. We are very grateful to The Playhouse for agreeing to accommodate us.
For understandable reasons, The Playhouse were unable to provide us with the use of a Cinema on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. As a consequence, the Folk Club night will, in future, be Tuesday (although one Gig may be on a Monday evening). We would apologise to anyone, who will be inconvenienced, but the change from Thursday to Tuesday has been forced upon us.
To celebrate the start of a new chapter for the Folk Club at Montrose Playhouse, we have organised a Special Opening Concert by the very popular Blue Rose Code. Normally, Ross Wilson and Blue Rose Code do not now play in Folk Club or other smaller venues, having graduated to the Concert Hall circuit. We are delighted that Ross has agreed to perform the opening Concert of our new era at Montrose Playhouse.
