Thank you to everyone, who provided feedback with regard to a re-start date for the Folk Club gigs.
Unfortunately, our plans have now been overtaken by events; partly the rapid upsurge in Covid cases, during late August and early September, but, in addition, the entirely unexpected notification that our venue for the past twenty years, the Links Hotel,, would no longer be available to us. The Function Suite at the Links is now occupied by Slimming World on Thursdays and Fridays.
We are actively looking for a new venue, with there being one or two definite possibilities. Since we do not wish to rush into anything and risk a false start in a new venue, we have cancelled the gigs, which were provisionally scheduled for October, November and December 2021, and will hope to re-arrange them for 2022. Our aim is to re-launch the Folk Club in a new venue with a full programme of gigs from early 2022. We will post again as soon as there is definite news upon the new venue.
