Montrose Folk Club would like to make everyone aware that, owing to the severity of the continuing Coronavirus crisis, it has been necessary to take the decision to cancel all of the remaining Concerts, which the Club had scheduled up to our Summer break. The Gigs by Journey North, Rachel Sermanni, John Doyle, Gillian Frame, Findlay Napier and Ali Hutton and the Ewan Macintyre Band on 23rd April, 7th and 21st May and 4th and 18th June respectively will not now take place. We are attempting to re-schedule some or all of the Concerts, but most of the new dates will probably not be until 2021.
All being well, the Club would hope to be able to resume after the Summer break with Transatlantic visitors on Thursday, 4th August in the exciting Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards. We will update the website as soon as the position is clearer.
For the next few months, Life will be very tough for Touring musicians. If you are able to do so, please support them in a small way by the purchase of recorded Music.
